Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. The name of her parents was derived from her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was editor and author along with Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's father was born into an ethnically Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder as well as her entire family relocated to Mendocino, California at the age of seven. Ryder was only seven years old. The family didn't have electricity. Television books were the only way for Ryder to pass the time. Eventually, she became an avid reader. Ryder began to take acting classes in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of 12 years old. In 1986 she landed her first role on the big screen in the film Lucas she was only fifteen years old. Ryder was bullied throughout her time in high school. Her professional acting, she believed that it would aid her. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. Still, she kept chasing her goals. In 1988 she had her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued to be successful in her characters in numerous films. In 1993, Ryder was in the running twice for Academy Awards.
