April Ross
April Ross has won more than one Olympic gold medal. She is among a few female players of beach volleyball that have done so. Alix Klineman, taking part for the very first time in Tokyo's Olympics and will attempt to win her third gold medal. Ross also hopes to get her first Olympic medal. At 39 and has a long way to go, this could be her final chance. The athlete is optimistic she will be able to win top awards. Ross was reported in NBC Boston as saying that if you play your best, even if you play well we will get the gold. Then I will also take the opportunity to try my chances. Ross born in 1982, and grew up within Costa Mesa California with her mother and sister, first began competing in sports at Newport Harbor High School. Ross was a competitive athlete in a variety of sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. Being a pre-athlete, she also played indoor track and volleyball. However, she was a standout in this sport. As per her biography her high school days, she played volleyball as an outside hitter (middle blocker) and setter (outside blocker). Her achievements were rewarded in 1999 when she was named Gatorade's Circle of Champions National Players of the Year. Additionally, in 2000, she was recognized as the Orange County Athlete of the Yr for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are performing their roles in 2017. The reality is that Ross was an important player in the world of beach volleyball prior to the pair. The American has been a major winner in events twice, with various partners. One of them has become an iconic player in the world of volleyball. Jennifer Kessy was her partner during six years between 2007 and 2013. She also coached Klineman as well as herself. Kessy was Ross's partner on the 2009 World Championships. In 2012, the duo were awarded silver medals at the London Olympic Games. Misty Maytreanor's legendary team as well as Kerri Jennings were the winners of gold. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate after Maytreanor's retirement. They were able to win bronze in beach volleyball during the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross was a student athlete for USC Trojans before starting her professional career. She played during high school, and even some years before she hit the beach as a professional. And her run at the school was a memorable one. She was a All-American as well as Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in the year 2000, a young freshman. Her performance also assisted in helping the Trojans to make it to into the Final Four. Her personal tragedy was a crushing loss in her sophomore season however she was able to return her place as an All-American. In her last two seasons with the Trojans team, she led the team to win a national championship every year. In 2003-2004, she was named as the most successful female volleyball player on the collegiate scene in America by the Honda Sports Award. Ross played international relations as a major at USC. Margie Ross was not able to witness Ross achieve beach volleyball's top stage. Ross's mother passed away from cancer of the breast when she was a sophomore in USC. In the aftermath, Ross is still close to her deceased parent. Margie has been an inspiration both in her personal life and at the beach.
